In the past, the grapes have mostly been local traditional varieties such as Öküzgözü from Elazığ and Boğazkere from Diyarbakir, but Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon blanc, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache and more are now used to make premium wines as well. Kalkan restaurants offer a variety of well priced and delicious wines.
